Our first four Soay sheep joined our farm in 2007. Since then, we have had our own little ewe lamb, and added three more ewes to our flock. Please see our Sheep For Sale page for more information on our 2009 lambs.
All of our sheep are grass-fed and do not receive routine antibiotics. Their pedigrees are listed in the Open Flockbook Project, and all of our sheep are registered with MNSBAR.

Soay Sheep FAQ:
Sheep must be kept in a flock, so if you are just starting out with Soay, get at least two sheep to start.
Wethers and ewes can make great pets, but rams are not to be tamed. If they lose respect for you, they can become a danger.
Cross fencing is a great way to help the sustainability of your farm. This will allow you to rotate your sheep through the paddocks, allowing the grass to alternately be grazed and rested.
Soay sheep require minimal intervention for lambing. We woke up one morning, and there was little Annie! She was following her mama around, healthy and hearty as can be.
We vaccinate our adult sheep annually with 2 ml CD/T, which is available at farm stores. Lambs get this shot at four weeks and a booster at eight weeks.
Worming is important. Consult your vet for an appropriate program for your flock.
